The applicant should have passed pre-university examination conducted by Karnataka board or equivalent examination with 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology and English taken together.
Post Graduate:
The candidates, who have passed BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from a college and University recognized by Dental Council of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, (RGUHS) Karnataka, are eligible.

The admission of the candidates is based on the marks obtained by them in Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Government of Karnataka, India. This is followed by an interview conducted by panel of members of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Sciences (RGUHS).
