Deshbandhu College is situated in Kalkaji, Delhi. The college came into existence in 1952 under the management of the Ministry of Rehabilitation (Government of India) in the memory of Late Lala Deshbandhu Gupta, who was a great freedom fighter. Later, Deshbandhu College was transferred to the Ministry of Education and consequently, it was overtaken by University of Delhi.
Deshbandhu College is a co-educational constituent college of University of Delhi. The college offers several courses in different disciplines at the undergraduate as well as postgraduate level. It imparts the courses as per the strict rules and regulations of University of Delhi. Deshbandhu College has state-of-the-art facilities within its sprawling campus.

The candidates must have passed 10+2 level of examination with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (except in Mathematics – 45%) in PCB/PCM group of science, from any recognized Board.
B.SC / BA (Hons) / B.Com (Hons)
The applicants are required to have passed 12th standard of examination with not less than 45% marks in aggregate.
B.A
HSCE examination must have passed by the candidates with minimum 40% marks in aggregate, from any statutory Board.
Post Graduate:
The admission seekers must have passed Graduation in relevant stream, from any recognized University.

The candidates are enrolled on the basis of their performances in the qualifying examination. For B.A (Hons) English, the University conducts an entrance test – DU CATE.
