Devi Charan Baruah Girls College, located at Bahona, in Jorhat district of Assam, is an aided women’s institute. The college was started in the year 1955 to conduct value based higher education for the girl students residing in and around Jorhat. It is regarded as one of the prominent institutes of Assam and has earned the fame of being the second women’s college in Assam. The college is well-equipped with all modern amenities surrounded by lust green atmosphere at the bay of a beautiful spring, named Tarajan. DCB Girls College is affiliated to Dibrugarh University and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC). The college is also assessed and accredited by NAAC. The college offers several undergraduate courses in Arts and Science faculties. Besides, the college runs higher secondary courses in these Arts and Science subjects, along with several career-oriented programs.
