Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences, located in Coorg district of Karnataka, is spread over 20 acres of land. The college was established in 1999, to achieve the objective of serving as a centre of excellence in the field of dental sciences. Ever since its inception, the dental college has trained numerous doctors. Coorg Institute of Dental Science is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, (RHUHS), Bangalore.
Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences is approved by Dental Council of India (DCI). Currently, the college conducts courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level, in the field of dental sciences. Well-qualified and experienced faculty members are associated with the college, to impart their knowledge and skills to the students of the college. The institute is a vision of a group of proficient doctors, who formed Coorg Dental and Medical Sciences Trust, under which the institute is operating.

The applicant should have competed 10+2 examination in science stream, from a recognized board.
Post Graduate:
The aspirant should have successfully competed BDS course, from a recognized college or university.

The admission is based on the marks attained in Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Government of Karnataka, India. The candidates with qualifying marks in the entrance test are then short-listed after an interview conducted by panel of members of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Sciences (RGUHS).

Post Graduate:
The candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in post graduation entrance test, conducted by the university.
