College of Engineering Attingal is located in Thiruvananthapuram/Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala. The college came into being in 2004, when it was established by the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD). Currently, College of Engineering Attingal has been imparting two undergraduate courses, namely Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Computer Science & Engineering. Both the courses have been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
College of Engineering Attingal, which is affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology, is under direct control of the state government of Kerala. College of Engineering Attingal boasts of producing competent engineers, year by year. The college provides state-of-the-art infrastructure and modern facilities to its students, so that they can acquire quality education.

Candidates, who have got through the intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as subjects or any other examination considered equivalent, are eligible for applying in the college.

Admission is based on the students' performance in the Common Entrance Test(CET) conducted every year, by the Govt. of Kerala. 35% seats come under management quota. Admission to these seats also is carried out through the online counselling process by Control of Entrance Examinations. For 15 % NRI seats admissions are done on merit basis.
