Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT), which was established in 1956, is an autonomous institute. Located in Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), the institute is managed and run by V. Rangasamy Naidu Educational Trust. Affiliated to Anna University, Coimbatore Institute of Technology is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi. The institute teaches engineering courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, as per the rules and regulations of AICTE. Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
To be eligible, the candidates must have passed in 10+2 examination in science stream, from any recognized state/national Board.
Post Graduate:
ME / M Tech / M.Sc
Graduation in the relevant stream from any recognized University is mandatory, to be eligible for this program.
MCA
The aspirants should have completed graduation, from any recognized University.
Doctorate:
The admission seekers should have possessed Master's degree in the relevant stream, from any recognized University.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
The admission is based on the written exam and performance in the qualifying examination. Admission is conducted as per the rules of Government of Tamil Nadu.
Post Graduate:

For the admission, TANCET is conducted by the University. GATE qualifiers are also preferred.
MCA
The candidates are admitted through counseling conducted by Anna University and Government of Tamil Nadu.
