Chirala Engineering College is located in Prakasam District in Andhra Pradesh. The institute started disseminating technical education in 2001. It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college works under the aegis of GSR & TSR Educational Society. Chirala Engineering College holds the distinction of being the first ISO 9001:2000 certified institute in Prakasam district. Chirala Engineering College offers technical education at UG level along with masters in business administration and computer application. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has selected the engineering college as ‘Jawahar Knowledge Center’.

Undergraduate:
Candidates seeking admission to the undergraduate level engineering courses should have passed 10+2 with science subjects, from a recognized Board.
Post Graduate:
MCA
Candidates should have done graduation in any stream, with Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the intermediate level.
MBA
Graduates in any stream, from a recognized University, are eligible to apply.

The applicants have to pass the qualifying test EAMCET, held by a body of the State Government. The admissions are done on the basis of merit. Most of the seats are filled by the Convener i.e. EAMCET, while the rest for the college management to fill.
