Birbhum Institute of Engineering & Technology

Birbhum Institute of Engineering & Technology is a reputed engineering college located at Birhum in West Bengal. The college was established by ICARE Birbhum, under the Chairmanship of Sri Somnath Chatterjee, Honorable Speaker of the Fourteenth Loksabha. With the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Birbhum Institute of Engineering & Technology offers undergraduate level courses in different branches of engineering. It is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology and receives aid from Government of West Bengal, Birbhum Zilla Parishad, West Bengal Power Development Corporation (WBPDCL), and MPLAD, for the development of its infrastructure and campus.

Undergraduate:
The candidates must have passed their Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized board, with 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry, along with English. In case of the SC/ST candidates, minimum of 45% in aggregate is sufficient. Candidates appearing in the final of the qualifying exam are also eligible.

Undergraduate:
Admission is done through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WB JEE) and All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).
