Minimum qualification required is a pass in Higher Secondary or equivalent examination in science stream, from a recognized Board.
Post Graduate:
M Tech
The candidate must have a BTech / BE degree in Biotechnology / Chemical Engineering / Biochemical Engineering / Biomedical Engineering / Industrial Biotechnology / Leather technology / Chemical technology (Food / Pharma).
Or
Candidate with MSc degree in Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry / Microbiology, Genetics, Biophysics / Microbial Genetics & Bioinformatics / Bioengineering

Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Admission is done on the basis of the candidate's performance in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) and All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), conducted by the CBSE Board, and followed by the Central Counseling held at Kolkata by the Central Selection Committee.
Admission through Lateral Entry for Diploma Holders in the II year (Third Semester) of the B.Tech program is limited to a maximum of 10% of the sanctioned intake in each discipline.
Entrance Test: WBJEE, AIEEE Exam
Post Graduate:
M Tech
Admission is done on the basis of the candidate's performance in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
MCA
Admissions to this course are made on the basis of the Joint Entrance for Computer Application (JECA), conducted by the West Bengal Board of Examination.
MBA
Admission is done on the basis of the candidates’ performance in Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) conducted by the West Bengal Board of Examination)/Management Aptitude TEST (MAT), conducted by the AIMA.
