Ballari Institute of Technology & Management came into existence in Bellary, Karnataka. Established in 1997, it was formerly known as Bellary Engineering College. The institute is managed and run by Tungabhadra Education Health & Rural Development Trust. Ballary Institute of Technology & Management is affiliated to Visweswaraiah Technological University, Belgaum and recognized by Government of Karnataka.
Ballari Institute of Technology & Management is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi. Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
The candidates, who have passed PUC exam or 10+2 level examination with not less than 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science, from any recognized state/national Board. Three-year diploma holders with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized Board are also eligible to apply for the UG programme.
Post Graduate:
M Tech
The admission seekers must have completed BE/B.Tech with not less than 50% marks, from any recognized University.
MCA/MBA
Candidates should be graduates in any stream with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).

The admission is done on the basis of the marks of the candidates in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), which is conducted by the University.

The candidates are selected on the basis of their marks in the qualifying examination. Admissions are done purely as per the rules and regulations of the University.
