Azad College of Education, located in Satara district of Maharashtra, came into existence in 1955. Affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur, the educational institution has gained the recognition from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Bhopal. The co-educational autonomous college holds the distinction of being accredited B++ by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the year 2004. Functioning under the guidance and sponsorship of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha’s, Azad College of Education conducts one year of Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) course, at undergraduate level along with M.
