Apex Institute of Management & Research is located in Pune, Maharashtra. The college is a part of the Apex Group of Institutions. The college initially offered only one course in management studies – a post graduate diploma in Business Management (known as PGDBM). The course has gained the affiliation from Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) and is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.
Apex Institute of Management & Research expanded itself, in terms of the courses offered as well as the facilities. It introduced Master of Business Administration (MBA) to its list of courses. The course is currently affiliated to University of Pune. All the aforementioned courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The admission procedure is based on the MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA scores of the candidates, group discussion and personal interview.

Post Graduate Diploma:
For the admission, merit list is prepared based on the candidates' marks in MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA. The qualifying candidates are then called for group discussion and personal interview.
