Al-Azhar Dental College is situated in Thodupuzha, Kerala. The college was set-up with the purpose of modernizing education in the field of dentistry, in Kerala. Affiliated to M.G University, it is approved by Dental Council of India (DCI) and recognized by the Government of Kerala. Al-Azhar Dental College runs under the aegis of Noorul Islam Trust. The college conducts undergraduate level course in the discipline of dental sciences - Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). It is offered as per the rules and regulations of the University. The candidates, who have passed senior secondary examination with at least 50% marks in physics, chemistry and biology taken together and 50% marks in biology separately, are eligible for admission. In addition, they have to obtain atleast 50% marks in the entrance test. Exemption of 10% is there for SC/ST candidates. Also, the age of the candidate should be atleast 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
