Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test, (UP CPMT) is conducted every year by University of Lucknow on behalf of Uttar Pradesh Government for admission into M.B.B.S, B.D.S, B.A.M.S, B.H.M.S and B.U.M.S programs offered by various Institutions across the state. The candidates, who are residing within the state of Uttar Pradesh or who fulfills the domicile criteria, are only eligible to appear.
Syllabus
UP CPMT entrance test follows the curriculum of intermediate (10+2) pattern followed by most boards across India. Questions are asked from physics, chemistry, botany and zoology.
Physics
The syllabus of physics is divided into two sections- first section contains following topics- Electromagnetism, Electricity, Electron Physics, Radiation and Atomic Physics, and Nuclear Physics. Second section consists of Measurement and Kinematics, Mechanics, Wave motion and Sound, General Properties of Matter, Heat, and Light.
Chemistry
The syllabus of chemistry is also divided into two segments- first include, Alkyl halides, Alcohols, Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones, Isomerism, Aromatic Compound, study of alkali, alkaline metals, etc. section II includes the study of Chemical Equilibria, Laws of Gases, Thermochemistry, Transition Elements, Catalyist, and Preparation of Collidal Solution.
Botany
Section I of botany syllabus includes- Cell, Ecosystem, Plant Kingdom, and Systematic study of Algae, Bacteria, and Fungi etc. Section II includes the study of Photosynthesis, Respiratory system, Growth & Movements, Transpiration, Translocation, Heredity, Sporogenesis, Human evolution, Fruits, and Cell Differentiation.
Zoology
The syllabus of section I of this part comprises the study of Animal Tissues, Arthopoda, Porifera, and Protozoa. Section II includes Organic Evolution, Origin of Life, Genetics, Mutation, and Animal Physiology.
