Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is conducted through a joint effort of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), under the aegis of National Coordinating Board - GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The students who are seeking their admission in Engineering/Technology/Science/Pharmacy/Architecture course at the postgraduate level, have to appear for GATE Exam.
