The students who are seeking their admission in various streams of engineering at the undergraduate degree and diploma level courses of IGNOU have to appear in IGNOU Engineering Aptitude Test (IGNEAT). Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Sri Angala Parameshwari Educational Trust (SAPET) have jointly collaborated to conduct the competitive entrance test.
Syllabus
The students, who are appearing in IGNOU Engineering Aptitude Test, should prepare the syllabus of science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2), which is recognized by any state/national Board.
Physics
Structure of nuclears, Semiconductor, Electric current, Discovery of radioactivity, Definitions of luminous flux, Units, Dimensions and Dimensional equations Displacement, Photoelectric effect, Simple harmonic motion, Heat as kinetic energy of molecular motion, Newton's law of motion are the topics.
Chemistry
Candidates should study topics such as Chemical reaction, Chemical Equilibrium, Solutions, Chemistry of carbon compounds , Nitrogen family, Metals and metallurgical, Noble gases , Nuclear chemistry, Electro chemistry, Surface chemistry, Chemical kinetics, Chemical bonding, Atomic structure, States of matter, Ionics equilibria, kinetic theory of gases, postulates, kinetic equation, Periodic classification of elements etc.
Mathematics
Vector Algebra, Probability, Coordinate Geometry, and Calculus, Algebra, Trigonometry are the topics.
