National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) conducts an all-India level entrance test, which is known as NIPER JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). The entrance test is conducted for admission in NIPER’s constituent institutes situated at Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Hajipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Rae Barelli and S.A.S. Nagar (Punjab). The institute conducts the competitive entrance test at various test centers across the country.
Examination Pattern
Before appearing for the exam, the candidates should be familiar with its examination pattern, which is given below.
The question paper consists of 200 multiple-choice type questions. The candidates have to choose the right answer out of four given options.
All the questions are required to have answered by the candidates within two-hours duration.
The candidates have to answer all the questions by darkening appropriate bubbles using HB pencil only on the Objective Response Sheet (ORS).
The competitive entrance test contains questions based on the curriculum of B. Pharma and M. Sc. (relevant field).
There is a provision of negative marking the Joint Entrance Examination, that is, 25% marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
Group Discussion and Personal Interview
The candidates, who have successfully passed the NIPER JEE entrance test, have to appear for group discussion and personal interview. Therefore, the final selection of the candidates is done on the basis of their performances in the written test, group discussion and personal interview.
