The students, who are seeking their admission in undergraduate level program in Bachelor of Science (Nautical Sciences), must appear in an entrance test - IMU Common Entrance Test (CET). The common entrance test is conducted by Indian Maritime University, which has been recognized by the Government of India. The University conducts the entrance test at various centers across the country.
Examination Pattern
The University imparts the course to train students and make them eminent in the field of maritime engineering. Therefore, the IMU Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted to prepare candidates before admitting them in the academic program. The examination pattern of IMU CET is given below.
- The question paper comprises of only multiple choice type questions. There are four options available in each question, from which the candidates have to choose the correct one.
- All the questions in the test are based on these subjects:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- English
- The candidates must answer all the questions within two hours, which is the duration of the test paper.
- All the instructions and questions in the common entrance test are only in English medium.
Interview and Medical test
The candidates, who have successfully qualified in IMU CET Entrance Test, must appear in an interview, which is conducted by the University. After the interview, the candidates are called for a medical test, which is conducted at various test centers. Final selection of the candidates is based on their performances in these three admission procedures.
