In order to seek admission into University of Delhi’s Master of Education (M. Ed) course (both one-year full-time and two-year part-time), candidates are required to appear for DU M. Ed Entrance Test, which is conducted every year by Department of Education, Delhi University. Scores of the candidate in the entrance examination, followed by their performance in interview are the criteria for deciding their selection.
Examination Pattern for DU M Ed Entrance Test
DU M. Ed Entrance Test, one among the highly competitive and toughest entrance examinations of the field of teacher education, can be attempted in Hindi or English. However, the medium of instruction in the M. Ed Programme will dominantly be English. The written examination is of two hours duration. The entrance will test the candidates’ understanding of educational theory, research aptitude and analytical and reflective abilities related to the contemporary Indian education discourse. DU M. Ed Entrance Test comprises of short answer questions, which in total fetch 75 marks.
Interview
A total weight age of 25 marks is given to the interview. Final selection of the candidates depends on their performance in both written test and interview. The interview will test the candidates’ understanding of the aforementioned areas and will also evaluate expression and communication skills.
