Uttar Pradesh Common Admission Test Dental (UPCAT Dental) is an entrance test conducted in Uttar Pradesh. The test is for enrolling the most deserving candidates in undergraduate level programme of dental course i.e. Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). It is for those candidates, who are seeking admissions into dental course at undergraduate level. Candidates who qualify in the entrance exam have to appear for counseling, for the final allotment of seats.
Eligibility for UPCAT:
Candidates who are seeking admission into undergraduate level dental course have to fulfill this general eligibility condition which is considered mandatory:
- Candidate must have completed 10+2 level in science stream with biology as the mandatory subject from any recognized board.
- Applicants must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks.
- The candidate must not be less than 17 years of age to be eligible for this course.
- For SC/ST candidates, 5 % relaxation is allowed.
Counseling:
After qualifying exam, on the basis of merit list selected candidates have to appear for counseling for enrollment and further procedure of admission in dental courses of undergraduate level.
