SRM Engineering Entrance Exam, popularly referred to as SRMEEE, is conducted by SRM University in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu for admission into B. Tech, B. Arch, B Des., M. Tech, MBA, MCA, M.S. program in Total Quality Management (TQM), Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and M. Arch. Performance of the candidate in the entrance examination determines their selection.
Eligibility for SRMEEE
- SRM Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMEEE) is one of the most competitive entrance examinations of its field in the state. In order to appear in the entrance examination the candidate should meet the below listed eligibility criteria-
- The candidate should be a citizen of India and should have studied previous two years from any institution located in India.
B. Tech
The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with not less than 60% aggregate marks in mathematics, physics & chemistry taken together. In order to seek admission in bioinformatics, biomedical & instrumentation engineering, bioprocess engineering, biotechnology, food process engineering and genetic engineering, the candidates are required to secure at least 60% aggregate marks in biology, physics and chemistry taken together.
B. Arch
The candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with not less than 60% aggregate marks and English and Mathematics as subjects of study. In addition, the candidates are required to score minimum of 40% aggregate marks in Aptitude Test in Architecture (ATA), conducted by SRM University as a part of SRM EEE.
B. Des program
The candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.
M. Arch
The candidate should possess B.Arch. or equivalent of a recognized institution.
MBA
The candidate with not less than 60% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree in any stream of a recognized institution is eligible.
MS program
Total Quality Management (TQM)
The candidate should be a graduate in any stream with at least one year of work experience.
Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
The candidate should possess B.E. /B. Tech. degree with specialization in any field or MBBS, B.D.S., B.VSc degree of a recognized institution.
MCA program
The candidate should have completed graduation in any of the following discipline- B.C.A / B.E.S / B.Sc. Computer Science / Mathematics / Physics / Statistics / Applied Sciences/Information Technology/Computer Technology or B.Com./Bachelor of Bank Management/B.B.A./B.L.M./B.A. /B.A. Economics/any other bachelor’s degree, in any discipline, with Business Mathematics and Statistics or Mathematics/ Statistics at main/allied level or B.Sc. Chemistry with Mathematics and Physics as allied subjects or B.E./B. Tech./MBA under 10+2+3 or under the Open University system with not less than 60% aggregate marks.
Or
The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level.
M. Tech
Structural Engineering
The candidates, who have done B.E. /B. Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution, are eligible.
Environmental Engineering
The candidates should have completed B.E. /B. Tech. program in Civil engineering or in Geo Informatics or B.E. /B. Tech. Program in Mechanical/EEE with 3 years of work experience in the field or the candidate with B.E. /B. Tech. in Chemical engineering and 1 year of relevant work experience are eligible. The candidates with M. Sc. Environmental Science degree from a recognized institution are also eligible.
Water Resources Management
The candidate should have passed B.E. /B. Tech. program in Civil engineering or in Geo Informatics from a recognized institution.
Energy Engineering
The candidate should have passed B.E/ B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering/ Production Engineering/ Automobile Engineering/ Aerospace /Aeronautical Engineering or AMIE (Mech)/ AMAeSI(Aero)/ IMechE. or any equivalent examination in the above disciplines.
Computer Aided Design
The candidate should possess bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automobile or Production from a recognized institutions.
Remote Sensing and GIS
The candidate should have passed B.E. /B. Tech. degree in civil /Mining/ Agriculture/EEE/ECE/CSC/Chemical/Geo Informatics/IT or should possess four years of B.Sc. degree in Agriculture / Forestry/ Horticulture or Fishery from a recognized institution.
Or
The candidate with MCA or M. Sc. Degree in IT/ Applied Geology/Physics/ Geography/Geology/GeoPhysics/Mathematics/Oceanography/Environmental Science/Urban and Regional Planning are also eligible.
Computer Integrated Manufacturing
The candidate with bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production, Mechatronics, Metallurgy or Automobile can apply.
Robotics
The candidate with Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production, Mechatronics, Metallurgy, Automobile, EEE, are eligible.
Construction Engineering and Management
The candidates, who have done B.E. /B. Tech program in Civil Engineering or possess Bachelor’s of Architecture degree, are eligible.
Power System Engineering
The candidates having B.E. /B. Tech. degree in EEE can apply.
VLSI Design
The candidate should have passed B.E. /B. Tech. examination in ECE/EEE/E&I/CSE/IT from a recognized institution.
Embedded Systems Technology
The candidates, who have passed B.E. /B. Tech. in EEE/ ECE/ CSE/ IT/ ICE/ E&I, are eligible.
Communication Systems
The candidates with B.E. /B. Tech. degree in ECE/ETE/TE are eligible.
Biomedical Engineering
The candidates, who possess B.E/ B. Tech. degree in ICE/ EEE/ ECE/ E&I/ Biomedical Engineering/ Biomedical & Instrumentation Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Nanotechnology/ Medical Electronics or M. Sc. Degree in Electronics/ Medical Electronical/ Applied Electronics/ Physics/ Medical Physics/ Bio – Physics/ Bio-informatics/ Bio-medical Informatics/ Physics - Special Electronics degree or should have done MBBS (BPT/ BOT), are eligible.
Power Electronics and Drives
The candidates, who possess B.E. /B. Tech. degree in EEE/ECE/ICE/E&I, are eligible.
Computer Science and Engineering
The candidate with B.E. /B. Tech. degree in CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, E&I & ICE, or MCA, or M.Sc. (CS) & M.Sc. (CST), M.Sc. (IT) degree can apply.
Information Technology
The candidate should possess B.E./B. Tech. degree in CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, E&I & ICE, Bioinformatics, Civil, Mechanical, or MCA, M.Sc. (IT), M.Sc. (CS) & M.Sc. (CST) degree of a recognized institution.
Chemical Engineering
The candidate should have done B.E / B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering / Electrochemical Engineering / Petrochemical Engineering / Bio Process Engineering / Biotechnology / Genetic Engineering.
Telecommunication and Networks
The candidate should have done B.E/ B. Tech. in ECE/ ETE/ TE from a recognized institution.
Genetic Engineering
The candidate should have passed B.E/ B. Tech degree in Genetic Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Industrial or Medical or General or Food Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engineering/ Bioinformatics/ Bioprocess Engineering or should have done B. Pharm, B.V.Sc., B.F.Sc. or B.Sc. in Agriculture, Forestry (or) MBBS (or) M. Sc in any branch of life science.
Geo Technical Engineering
The candidate should have done B.E. /B. Tech. in Civil engineering or Geo Informatics from a recognized institution.
Information Security and Cyber Forensics
The candidate with B.E. /B. Tech. degree in CSE/IT/ECE/EEE or M. Sc. Degree in Computer Science/IT/Electronics, or MCA can apply.
Multimedia Technology
The candidate should have done B.E./B. Tech. in any specialization, or should have done M. Sc. In Computer Science/IT or MCA.
Database Systems
The candidate should have passed B.E. /B. Tech. program with specialization in any field or should have done M. Sc. in Computer Science/IT/Mathematics/Statistics/ Electronics or MCA from a recognized institution.
Biotechnology
The candidate with any of the following degree B.E. /B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering / Leather Technology / Biotechnology / Bio-chemical / Engineering / Genetic Engineering / Bioinformatics / Biomedical & Instrumentation Engineering / Bioprocess / Food and Process Engineering / B. Pharm /M. Sc. (in any branch of Life Sciences/Biotechnology), are eligible.
Electronics and Control Engineering
The candidate with B.E. /B. Tech. degree in ECE/ICE/EEE/E&I are eligible.
Food and Nutrition Biotechnology
The candidate should have passed B.E./B. Tech. program in Food Process/ Chemical/ Biotechnology or Agricultural Engineering.
Knowledge Engineering
The candidates, who possess B.E./B. Tech. degree in CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, E&I & ICE, or MCA, or M. Sc. (CS) & M. Sc. (CST), M. Sc. (IT), are eligible.
Bioinformatics
The candidate with B.E / B. Tech degree in Bioinformatics / any Life Sciences branch/ Chemical Engineering/ Information Technology/ Computer Science or M. Sc. degree in Bioinformatics or any Life Sciences branch/ Information Technology/ Computer Science or B. Pharm or B. VSc. or MBBS or B.Sc. Agriculture or Masters in Medical Lab Technology degree, are eligible.
